pasta machine | If you put the ball of dough onto the flat ledge thingie that looks like a printer's paper feed and then crank the handle, the dough gets fed through the rollers and comes the front all nice and flat in one thickness. Depending on the final set of rollers, you can either get a single broad sheet or a number of cut styles. This one is set up for a narrow, straight, ribbon-cut. |

food mill | Place a soft or semi-soft foodstuff (boiled potatoes, steamed carrots, hard-boiled eggs, etc.) into the bowl of the device and rotate the handle. The food is pushed out the holes in the bottom as a pureé or 'riced' depending on the wetness of the material. The drier the material, the more likely to rice. |
